Traveling To Our National Parks

Traveling To Our National Parks

I would like to tell you to close your eyes and think about the next few sentences, but if you close your eyes you won't be able to read. So after you read the next few sentences then close your eyes and imagine yourself in one of these places. Giant Redwoods, deep canyons, drifting desert sands, high mountain peaks covered with snow, plains teeming with a variety of wild life, rushing turbulent rivers, slow flowing streams, bottomless lakes, exotic sea shores. Do I need to go on? If you want to get in touch with the universe, these are things to see and reflect on. These are just a few of the many things to be found, investigated, and enjoyed right here in the United States in our national park system
These spots of grandeur found in our national parks that spread across the country holds the key to a person becoming spellbound as they look into beauty that can't be described with words Any leisure activity a person could hope to have or experience can be found in these parks. Almost all parks offer easy access for the camper or day visitor at very reasonable rates. Camping in a travel trailer or other type of camper is a wonderful way to experience nature at its best. If camping isn't you thing, some of the parks have on-site lodging too. There are also several different park passes that offer admission discounts ranging from free (after purchase of a yearly pass) to deeply discounted entrance fees.
President Andrew Jackson signed legislation in 1832 setting aside area around Hot Springs, Arkansas as the first national park. In 1872 the first true national park, Yellowstone, was established and the government agency responsible for the maintenance of our parks was established.
Don't think that national parks are only areas of wild life, waterways and scenic vistas. National parks include locations such as the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and other such points of historic importance.
If you like: Fishing - wonderful natural and stocked lakes, streams and rivers abound, Hunting - excellent opportunities from Big Horn Sheep in Montana to spry deer in Texas, Photography - the views of parks like the Grand Canyon offer some of the best material for beautiful landscape pictures.
The list of opportunities and pleasures in our national parks is limited only to your imagination and desires for relaxation and recreation. Decide what you want to do, and there is a national park just waiting for you to visit.
Here are a few tips if you decide to go. If you are planning to go to a few of the parks in the same year, you might check out National Park Passes. Doing this for sure saves you money on the park entry fees but, at many of the busy parks, this will let you into a shorter line for quicker entry. On arrival you might consider the free and environment friendly shuttles. They are free! Make reservations way ahead of time if you plan on camping or need lodging. They fill up with people planning in advance not to be left without a place to sleep.
If you decide to plan the trip of all trips to any of our national parks plan carefully. Don't let a lack of solid planning take away from this wonderful experience. If you would like more information, a very good, and reliable source would be US-Parks.Com
