Heat waves and Solar storms

Is there a conection?  We had the same thing happen back in March too.  Several large flares launched out late March and we had record breaking weather.   Heat records are falling around the country and we just received two major solarflares. 

Now, the arguement a and will be made "solar flares never did this before..!".  My rebuttal to that is simply, we never tracked solar flares then like we just started doing in the last 5 years or so.
