Supply Chain Shock?

There's an interesting thing happening in California with their gasoline supply.  There's a massive shortage and prices are climbing to $5.00!   What I think is going to be interesting is the social dynamic that's going to play out.  With Gas stations shutting down due to no gasoline, how are people going to react?
